Becoming Real Estate Agent

I am graduating with my Economics degree this term and so am looking forward and thinking about ways to earn income and employment. One of the things I am thinking about doing is putting together deals and then acting as a real estate agent to sell them for commission. Basically, I want to identify potential RE investments, put together reports, and then profit by commission through acting as the agent.

Could this be potentially profitable? Am I thinking in the right way? Any advice on the matter would be awesome. Thanks in advance!
