Value add or mistaken calculation

Considering turning our garage into a 4th bedroom. Which would turn our now 3/2 at 1840 sq. ft. with a 2 stall garage into a 4/2 at 2000 sq. ft. with no garage or car port. At the same time, putting a large storage shed in back to hold what the garage would have. Only been in Florida 2 yrs. and don't know how important having a garage is to Florida Real Estate. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

@Todd Finger look to see how many 4/2 in your area are 2000 sqft without garages and what they sold for vs 3/2 with a 2 car garage.

Also depending how you lay it out if your are looking to rent by the room or just fit your needs design it where you can easily convert back if the 4/2 no garage is not a sought after house or has less value than a 3/2 with a garage.
