Anyone investing in the Highland Park Community of Chattanooga??? Are your returns worth the area??

looking at a few properties there now.   Prices are low but so are rental rates. Not sure if im going to commit to the area.

section 8 pays well for 3 bedrooms but the tenant quality is questionable.

Did you invest? If so how did it go? I was told yesterday by a friend his rentals in Highland Park were some of his best of the low end, "They rent with in days, and tend to pay on time."

@Edwin, my apologies about the delayed response I haven't signed on in quite some time. I did not purchase the property because the foundation had major issues. I've been working on other business ventures but I'm getting back to real estate. Have you purchased any properties lately? How's the market?

Just a quick note to everyone in this discussion.  Just like just about everywhere in the country rents have increase significantly in the last year here in Chattanooga.  Including Highland Park area.
