Looking to purchase in the Scranton Pa area
Good Morning
I am a first time investor, based out of the Sussex County N.J. area. I have found several opportunities in the Scranton area which would allow me to get some experience. I have a random realtor, but again with being new in sure where to start. I was wondering if anyone in the Scranton area would be able to assist me with the following:
- attorney and or tittle company as I'm looking to buy very soon
- A good contractor and home inspector to give me a good idea what the property condition is before I buy.
- I'm understanding since in out of state, I will need property management.
- And any additional information you guys think would be relevant which would be helpful.
The three properties I am considering are all currently rented on month to month leases. Would love to meet local investors in the area and get an idea of what to do. My goal is to start slow understand the process and obtain passive income.
Thanks in advance for any information provided.

I used to have a lake house next to Sussex County on Lake Hopatcong. Great area. As for contacts, try John McGovern. He is an attorney and works hand and hand with Keystone Abstract title company. John is a good friend of mine. Tell him I referred you. Other than that, @Chris K.'s reference for property management along with @Ron Parasole are good ones.
For home inspection call Jeff Biondo. He runs All points home inspection Services
