Kansas city and surrounding areas
So, I'm new to bigger pockets and I'm looking at Kansas City and the surrounding areas. I'm trying to avoid leaving my home state to live in another area to purchase properties. I'm interested in buying and holding properties. My home town is not so great, the market has picked up tremendously here in Tucson and I have to wait it out to find 1 per centers.
What are some of the better neighborhoods, cities, or zip codes to invest in MO? Would you recommend any schools for middle school and high schools? Trying to avoid high crime area, poor school districts, and bad neighborhoods. Also, would you recommend any turnkey providers? I'm not interested in buying and renovating a property from the bottom up. That would prove to be very difficult from afar since I can not oversee things. Any input negative or positive is good! It will give me perspective.
These are a lot of questions, but I'm looking for the local who knows best. Thanks!

@John PowellWelcome to BP. Kansas City is a great cash flow market but you have to know the areas well. Zip codes are generally too large of an area. You can have good areas and bad area in a given zip code. In Kansas City, you generally want to avoid the inner city from the river in the north to 85th St to the south. I like the suburbs outside the 435 loop like Independence, Grand View and Raytown. The area between highway 470 in the south and 87th St north, 435 on the West and 350 to the east is a good up and coming area with the Cerner development going on there. The Kansas City school district is notoriously poor which is another reason you want to be in the suburbs. Just stay away from the cheap, inner city properties. We sell turn keys in KC. Feel free to reach out if I can be of help.
