how lead certification for short term rental work?
Dear Friends,
I wonder if anyone has experience or knowledge knowing what the requirement of the lead certification in Baltimore city for short-term rental? I am talking about 3 -4 months traveler rental or airbnb type. From MDE document, it said “Certain properties may be exempt from the lead certification if: The property is a hotel, motel, or similar seasonal or transient facility…”. It looks like applied to AirBnb and short-term rental. Please enlight me.
Thank you so much for your time reading this post!

@Ken Wang there are two distinct issues when dealing with lead paint.
- Legal compliance
- Liability
Personally I would not handle short term rentals any differently than I would my regular rentals regarding lead paint. The legal liability remains even if you are in compliance.
