Thoughts on boat rental.

We will be closing on a STR January 3rd. This is a lake house on the water that comes with a boat slip lease for $1200 a year. Boat slips are a commodity on this lake. While the availability of a boat slip may be a draw for some renters, the real appeal of the property is the view and proximity to the surrounding attractions.

In thinking about this, I've been wondering if providing a boat for rent at a fix rate fee for the guests entire stay could be a way to better monetize the slip. My thought is to automate the process much like our STR'S, with a boat caretaker to clean and maintain the boat after every rental. I'd have an automated lock box for the keys, with a qr code for payment and liability forms. There are multiple companies renting small fleets of boats on this lake, so I know there is some demand for rentals.

What are your thoughts? Liability concerns?
