Hideous coloured vanity of my new home

Linda C Johns
Posted

This is my first post, I hope I'm in the right category!

The powder room of my new home has a stand-alone vanity, the kind you can get from Kijiji or home depot at $200-300. It is in an unpleasant colour which doesn't match the wall colour (we painted the entire home).

We renovated our old home and rented it, so in the beginning, I thought to call the same custom glass company

, who helped us with our old home renovation works. Later I changed the plan, due to some personal issues(I'm running out of money and on a tight schedule). And now I'm thinking of keeping the mirrors (After resizing it) and changing the vanity shelves and mirror frames. Maybe the installation can be done on my own after getting the right products. Used products in good condition are also ok for me.

I'm planning to call some pros to get the plan and estimate costs, but I'm not sure what kind of labour this would require. I don't want to ruin the entire place, I just want to remove the shelves safely without harming the surrounding stuff.

The mirror is huge and it is in a rectangular shape, I would like to resize it (preferably reshape). I'm attaching an image so that it will be easier for you to respond to my query.

I hope some of you can guide me through this.

Many thanks.
