Morbid question

Okay, this is a little gross and a little morbid, but this isn't my expertise. So, I am buying a house that has a large thick blood stain in the bedroom. The seller told me that the tenant had a massive heart attack and died in the bedroom. Can a massive heart attack cause that type of bleeding? The seller hypothesized to me that his lungs must have filled with blood and spilled out onto the rug.

Are there any medical industry people here to comment?
