Hedge Fund Investing Questions

Ok, If anyone has experience or knows about hedge funds I would appreciate some assistance. Ok, to try and make this short, I invested $20K into a hedge fund that was doing commodities investing. After making money for about 4 months I get info that there was an issue with one of the people the hedge fund was doing business with and the account has been frozen ( I dont know if or how much money is still in the account ). Fast forward to today which is 7 months ago my money is in limbo and no real word on whats going on. I ask them questions but do not get any real info that I am looking for. So, what should I be doing to insure things are going on to get my money back?

The fund manager won't tell you your current balance? Do you have any sort of agreement documents outlining when you can pull your money out, quarterly update requirements or anything?

I would atleast want the fund manager to tell me my balance, having the accounts frozen shouldn't affect whether or not you know how much your investment is worth with them.

Keep us posted what happens. I'd be persistent with requesting status and balance updates. Hopefully your losses (if any) are minimal.
