Eric
We are suppose to shy away from Political Debate, so I will make this short and sweet.

Taxation is one thing, all governments need money to run the programs that they were Constitutionally required to do. My complaint, and most of the Tea Party complaints, have to do with how the government spends the money. Fifty years ago, 9% of the Federal Budget was spent on infrastructure such as roads, bridges, airports, pipelines, rail lines, etc... Today, it is LESS than 2%.

Besides feeling that Personal Income Tax is unconstitutional and counter-productive in a Capitalistic System, most of us feel that the government is more interested in buying votes than making America better and stronger. While those on the left complain about money spent on war, I complain about money given to people who won't get up off their lazy bums and get a job.
