my credit union rocks!

Several months ago I transferred money from a big bank to a small local credit union for personal reasons.
Recently I bought a house, and hope to close on it soon. The weather here is downright nasty, and getting out is impossible for me due to health.
I just called the manager and asked if they wire funds. His response?
"Yes. But it'll cost you 18 bucks. Where do you live?"
"3 miles directly south of you." (We had talked several weeks ago, and he had a general idea because of that conversation).
He said, "When they give you the information, call me, I'll cut you a check and bring it to you. Save you that money."
THAT's service!
