In Quito after a great week in Galapagos. Travel back home manana. What a magnificent place to visit! I'm not some enviro wacko and not that much into nature, but WOW! What a fantastic place to go. So many creatures that exist in peace and natural estate. Sea lions, Giant turtles, amazing birds, sea turtles, sharks, land and sea iguanas (thousands of the latter), PENQUINS, etc.
What a great trip and heartily reccommend to all. Of 33 cruises, this one is seriously one of a kind. Nothing comparable. These creatures have never suffered at the hands of humans, so absolutely no fear. We had to go around turtles, iguanas etc that were on the trail, since they weren't afraid of us.
Also fascinating to chat with travellers from different parts of U.S., Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador, France to name a few. Great topics revolving around world economy and U.S. position in that.
Also crossed the Equator a couple times and fantastic naturalists leading all the excursions with great knowledge. Rich
