From Universal Press Service.(did anyone see this?)
A December USA TODAY anaylysis revealed that during the first 18 months of the recent resession, beginning December 2007, the number of federal employees with six figure salaries shot up from 14% of the federal workforce to 19%. Defense Department civilian executives earning more than $150,000 went from 1868 to OVER 10,000, and the Department of Transportation, which had only ONE person earning over $170,000 in December 2007 now has 1690! The AVERAGE federal salary is $71,206 compared with the private sector's $40,331.

Is it any wonder we have problems in the U.S.? obama is going to CREATE more jobs, in the federal sector , of course. In 1950, it took contributions from 16 persons to fund the withdrawal of ONE persons' social security check. Now it is down to only 2 for 1.
How is it possible for TWO average civilian earners to provide funds for a single federal retiree, who earns nearly TWICE as much as the 2 that might be funding it?. All this, when federal workers are multiplying like bunnies! Rich
