Newbie RE Investor in Milwaukee NEEDS help FAST!!

I need your help-my kids & I are in a slight situation.

My family, pets (of various kinds), and I currently live in a not-so-good neighborhood on the north side of Milwaukee. We just moved into a 5BR SFH in a dangerous neighborhood 4/1/09 after finding out the house we moved into 9/1/08 was abandoned by its owner, under foreclosure, and the city was going to be boarding it up in 5 days. It was recently found that our home has SERIOUS lead in it, and County will not pay the rent payments until it is fixed; but landlord won't fix it! Because it has taken so long for the inspections to PASS, we have fallen behind in rent also. So we're being threatened with a 5-day notice. It's a big mess --> regardless, we have to move SOON; only having NO MONEY AT ALL is stopping me.

Money is nill for us right now, so we're hoping for a blessing! I barely have the gas to get my kids to school tomorrow. I have put in 5 offers since Wednesday, trying to get a house deal to go through; only to have all 5 go down in flames. I'm not giving up, but this situation is a little more serious for me right now.

We receive County Rent Assistance, own an American Staffordshire Terrier, cats, and a reptile. We're a quiet, Christian family-so you wouldn't be dealing with loud parties & damage.

We'd like to find a 3-4BR place (perferrably SFH) to rent OR Rent-to-Own in a nice, family-friendly neighborhood; one that is structurally safe, spacious, and clean. An area where my children can play outside without worrying about getting hurt, and one where we can have our dog outside without worrying about her getting stolen or shot at.

Please send us information, photos, as well as ones you have NOW so that we can look. We'd be moving in on or before July 1st.
