How Visualization Can Help Motivate You! Lexus IS250 Edition
When I was first introduced to the idea of visualization, I honestly thought it wasn’t for me and that I didn’t need this to motivate myself. I soon noticed that I was being naive. In fact, keeping a high level of motivation is often the toughest thing for entrepreneurs. We have plenty of great success stories, but we also suffer many failures! Frankly, it is all part of the game and we have to learn to grow and learn from these failures. One of the best ways to bring back a high level of energy and motivation is to VISUALIZE. Visualize how life will be (notice I did not say “would be”) once you drive your dream car, have your dream house and sleep in your dream boat. It is all part of the Millionaire Mindset. Now, visualizing will give you a head start, but why not give you an extra “kick” by actually living your dream even if it’s only for a few minutes or hours? This is what I did a couple of months ago, and the experience was amazing!
Deep down inside of me, I am a true luxury guy. Yes, I like luxury goods and I am not hiding from it. Some will say capitalism and superficial goods are bad/evil, and they are entitled to their own opinion. Fortunately for me, it does not mean I have to share it. Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved to observe rich people. The way they act, they behave, they speak. The confidence and success that most of them portray. The cars they drive in, the houses they live in, the watches they wear, the private jets they fly in. My thought process was quite simple. If they can do it, why can’t I do it as well?
First step in visualization is to think of something that motivates you. In my case, it was the thought of driving around in a brand new Lexus IS250 F-Sport 2015. Then, instead of simply visualizing it, you have to commit to actually live or experience that particular thought. This is how you will get maximum motivation out of your visualization. YES, you will have to get out of your comfort zone. NO, you shouldn’t be afraid to do so. Because you know what? At the end of the day, no matter what others think or what others will tell you, it is your dream not theirs. Make it happen. Stop thinking about doing it, and just do it! People will tell you it is stupid and that nobody will take you seriously. That is absolute crap. If you believe in yourself, everybody else will believe you, trust me.
Back to my story. I was visualizing driving in my brand new Lexus IS250 F-Sport so guess what I did. I dressed up nicely, asked my wife to do the same, and we went to the nearest Lexus dealership. On our way there, I explained to her that through the visualization process, we had to think and act as if we were already millionaires. This way, we would enjoy 100% of the experience and everybody would buy it. If we believed in ourselves, everybody would believe us. Guess what happened? We succeeded like real champs!
We entered the dealership, discussed with a sales representative about my intention to purchase the car in a near future even though, in reality, I didn’t have the financial means to do so. He showed me the different options available on the car and the price. I asked for a test drive and I got it. As simple as that! I got to drive around with the car and deeply enjoy the ride for about 30 minutes. Went back home and felt AMAZING.
NOW, here is what you have to do. Please determine a thought that motivates you to succeed. If it is a car, like me, please go to the nearest dealership and live your dream by doing a test drive and post your pictures and comments here. If it is a dream house, find a similar house in your neighborhood, call up the listing real estate broker, do a complete visit of the property and post your pictures and comments here! Same thing for a boat, cottage, watch, motorcycle, etc. You get the idea.
ENJOY your visualization :)!
