General Musings and Taking a Break

I really enjoy talking about real estate and strategies that will lead to wealth building.  I also like to feel as if I am contributing something to help others.

I am part of a lot of groups and have a very large network of friends and acquaintances.  Golf, running, softball, all places that I can mingle and enjoy life with. The only place that wealth building and real estate can be discussed are on forums like these.  It does not seem that most groups are interested in this type of banter.

That is why I come to a forum like this.

While these discussions can be rewarding, they can be extremely aggravating as well.  Everyone has different ideas and nobody does things exactly the same way.  This is good.  We should value diversity.

I hesitate to use the word "frustration" but it is the best descriptor that I can think of for what I feel.  Often, these discussions feel more like arguments.  I am guilty of standing my ground on issues but I feel like they are things that I know something about.  Years of experience have shown us all certain things.

There is also a feeling that someone can ask a question, you may spend 15 minutes of your day contemplating and writing an answer, and nothing.  No response from the poster or a response that glosses over what was discussed.

I have been spending a lot of time on this forum but feel a need to take a break.  I really do enjoy the bulk of the discussions and conversations.  I also value the many experienced contributors that I have been able to learn a lot from.  I will be checking messages.
