FSBO Contract Question

Vanessa Deluca
  • Naples, FL
Posted

Hi.  I am just about ready to sell our house.  I have been 'interviewing' a few real estate attorneys to get the contract going.  My question is this:  Is it prudent for both the buyer and seller to use the same RE attorney or should we have different ones?  I just want it to go super smooth (seems so far...cash buyer) for both us and all aspects to protect or have a good outcome .  Thanks in advance...

If you want any of the benefits of having an attorney, you absolutely need to hire your own. If you and the opposing party share the same attorney, you'll have to waive important protections and in the process you will have simply hired someone to push the deal forward.
