Newbie! Investing in PortOrange, Daytona, Ormond, or PalmCoast FL

My Job is relocating me to Palm Coast FL for a 2yr project. I don't want to rent and would like to purchase a property to live in while I am there with the intent of renting it out once I leave. I am not to familiar with this area.

Palm Coast seems really attractive it is a very clean, manicured, and newer area. I can get more for my money in Palm Coast but it almost seems like there is a grey cloud over this area by the few conversations I have had with a few people.

Does anyone have any experience investing in the St. Augustine, Palm Coast, Ormond Beach, Daytona, or Port Orange Area? Any market advise or input on these areas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
