Hello BP community from Alabama

Hello everyone! My name is Zac Gilliam and I am employed in the medical field in Northeastern (specifically Huntsville area) Alabama.

After a suggestion from a family member, I thankfully stumbled upon BiggerPockets a couple of weeks ago and have simply been unable to stay off of the site. I would foremost like to thank everyone that offers and contributes to the tremendous wealth of knowledge contained within BiggerPockets. A true diamond in the rough that is the web!

A little about myself: I am practically a newbie to the real estate arena but I am excited and anxious to learn everything I possibly can. I am a new landlord, having recently rented out my previous home. I am interested in meeting and developing rich working relationships within the BiggerPockets community, learning from everyone and hopefully contributing as well in any areas that I can. I would very much like to meet and speak with all of the professionals in and outside of the Northeastern Alabama region as well.

Thank you all again for all of the great information. Please know that all advice is welcomed as I feel like we are all here to learn from and contribute to one another, hopefully building relationships and escaping the rat race along the way!

@Zac Gilliam Welcome! I am from South Alabama near Mobile, I lived in Montgomery a while before I joined the Air Force and now I live in Maryland. I am working a duplex right now in Montgomery.
