New Member in Upstate NY

Hello everyone, my name is Sean and I live in Oneonta, NY (approximately halfway between Albany and Binghamton on I-88). I recently graduated from college (a little late at 27), and am looking to start investing in real estate probably within a year or so. My goal is to be in apartment rentals (probably primarily student rentals as we have three colleges in town and two more within a 30 minute drive).

I recently found this forum, have read a small bit of it and have high hopes.
