High school student in need of advice!

Hi my name is Kimberly and I am 17 years old. I am just looking for advice on either college, how to invest, what classes are helpful, and where I can gain more experience for the real estate field. I am going into my senior year on 2020 and I would like to know what classes are helpful, or if there are out of school classes that might help me. Also if you guys know any conferences I can go to hear more about it, that would be great (Orange County, CA). When going to college I plan to double major in business and real estate. Is that a smart choice, what do you recommend? Also I just got a software for building houses, it's interior, and landscape, so I hope that helps. I just need advice on anything you have. If you do answer, I just want to say thank you for taking your time to answer my question!

@Kimberly Rodriguez  welcome to BP in the OC.  Let see if I can answer your questions.

"I am just looking for advice on either college, how to invest, what classes are helpful, and where I can gain more experience for the real estate field."  The first thing you need to do is focus on what you would like to do?  Traditional Real Estate Purchase and Sales, wholesaling, fix and flips, buying notes, etc.

"I am going into my senior year on 2020 and I would like to know what classes are helpful, or if there are out of school classes that might help me." It's really not that expensive to take a Real Estate Exam course (around $300 or so?)

"Also if you guys know any conferences I can go to hear more about it, that would be great (Orange County, CA)."  You can check for local meetup groups in your area.  There are a few that I can recommend, but they are all on hold right now.  Reach out to investors on biggerpockets in your local area that are willing to share some insight and information with you.

"When going to college I plan to double major in business and real estate. Is that a smart choice, what do you recommend?" That is how I got started, but then quickly focused on earning multiple streams of income.  I became an agent first and started to earn traditional income.  Moved into buy and holds, then as the market turned moved into flipping.  I also do property management for myself and other clients as an additional source of income.

"Also I just got a software for building houses, it's interior, and landscape, so I hope that helps."  Sorry I have no idea why you would waste your time on this?

"I just need advice on anything you have. If you do answer, I just want to say thank you for taking your time to answer my question!"  Your very welcome and congrats that you are willing to start learning this business early.
