My name is Billy. I'm 37 and I live in Nashville, TN. My day job is musician (keyboard player) but I am looking to grow my passive income. I bought my first home for myself in 2012: a condo in the popular East Nashville area. After meeting my fiancé, we decided to buy a house together a couple years later. So I kept my condo to rent it out and I taught myself to be a landlord so I wouldn't have the extra expense of property management. I then purchased another investment property in nearby Inglewood in 2015: a small single family home. In 2017, my fiancé and I decided to move, but we kept our East Nashville home and have rented that out as well. So in total my portfolio includes our primary residence and 3 rental properties, all of which I manage myself. I was discouraged to buy more properties considering how hot the Nashville market has become, however recently I've listened to a lot of BP podcasts which have reignited my interest in growing my portfolio. I would love to invest further in Nashville and beyond, whether regionally, out of state, whatever it takes to grow. My mother is a real estate agent in Baltimore, Maryland and knows the market very well, so that area is also familiar and intriguing to me. I'm trying to get out of my shell and meet more people. I realize there's a lot more beyond the MLS and I am willing to do the hard work to try and find it! Thank you for reading this.
