Advice Appreciated - My Plan on getting Into Real Estate
Hello All,
I'm about to graduate from college and I've made a, well, somewhat thought-out plan of how I'm going to transition into becoming a real estate investor. I would love to hear what others think about my plan and what I should avoid and/or add into my plan. I'm going to Minneapolis for my first job which is actually an internship but I'm thinking I may leave it to start working in the real estate world which has grabbed my interest.
Step 1. Join a real estate investing club and network with other investors.
Step 2. Continue reading about real estate investing. Any recommended books or articles?
Step 3. Move back home after my internship and find a job in the RE industry. Get licensed.
Step 4. Find a mentor from the REI club.
Step 5. Invest in a rental property, probably an auction paid in full
Step 6. After some experience, invest in rental properties with OPM, possibly following the BRRRR method.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions and help!
