Newbie in Phoenix (West Valley)

Hey all,

I came across BP a year or so ago as I started exploring real estate investing, but was never active given my young age and lack of financial responsibility. I spent all of my early 20s traveling Europe and working odd jobs and fighting wildfires all while never finishing my degree in computer science.

Since then, however, I have reached mid-20s-dom and have developed a bottomless appetite for financial education. I also decided to pull the trigger on getting my RE license. I've just finished my classes, so only testing left. While my initial interest was only in investing, I found myself spending so much time learning about real estate on my own that I figured I should give being an agent a go. I am going back to school for CS as well simply because I enjoy it and I would love to work overseas someday which requires a Bachelor's. Aside from the technical background, I am an avid photography hobbyist, hiker, and love traveling more than anything.

I'm excited to dive into things and hope to start investing within the next year or so. I'm mostly interested in house hacking to start, and seeing where I can go from there. I'd love to learn more about the local market and will happily take any advice for a newbie agent!
