New Member/ Advice on first rental.

Hello everyone, I'm working on buying my first rental property/first house. I recently just changed jobs due to the fact I was paid by the mile since I was a truck driver. I switched over to FedEx since the company pays drivers by the hour. I was having an issue getting approved being paid by the mile since I hadn't been doing it for 2 years. I am also in the TN National Guard and deploy next April for 9 months. Ideally I'd like to buy a house and rent it while I'm gone while having a family member collect rent etc. Should I wait till after the deployment or go with my original plan? I have a 750 credit score and no debt! Just looking for advice. Thank you!
