Hey BP family, I'm writing a post just to put myself out there and get some advice from you guys. My name is Mckenzie, I'm from Meriden, Connecticut I'm new to real estate and Bigger Pockets. I've been listening to podcasts, reading, joined my local REIA and going to real estate meet ups these past couple months and have really been inspired. I'm currently purchasing my first duplex this month to start house hacking to put my foot in the door of real estate. My plan is to save, move out in a year, rent both units and move into another multi home and repeat to build my portfolio. I eventually want to get into commercial in the future. I'm also looking for deals to wholesale along the way to build capitol for my next investment property with D4$ using deal machine and sending out mailers. Have not gotten any deals yet but understand it's a process. If any of guys have any advice, tips or ideas please reply to this post. Thank you

@Mckenzie Jean, welcome to BP.  This is a great site to network and learn.  I really like the Meriden market.  Taxes are a bit high, but just factor that in and you will do great.  It is an interesting town with a wide range of asset class.  Good luck moving forward.  I am happy to discuss specifics if you like.  Just say the word.  Good luck!
