Rookie Investor from Wilmington, NC

Hey all, name's Matt. I'm a veterinary sales rep living in Wilmington, NC (childhood home of Michael Jordan). I'm currently in the "knowledge & relationship building" phase before jumping into real estate investing. For about 6-7 weeks I've been spending nearly all of my free time listening to BP podcasts/webinars, reading books and making connections with lenders, agents, contractors, and other investors in my area. My fiancé @Samantha Askew will have her real estate license in a few more weeks so we are teaming up with the goal of acquiring a portfolio of buy and hold rentals and possibly a flip or wholesale here and there. We are working on a direct mail campaign currently and have already received one call after our first week of mailing. We want to hit the ground running while also being careful that the numbers make sense. My biggest fear is probably around the rehab/finding a good contractor since I have really no experience here. Excited for what's ahead and glad to be joining the BP community!

All your fears will be non-existent once you jump right in, yeah you might make some mistakes along the way but it's all apart of the learning process. Much success to the both of you
