Brand new to BP and to Real estate, kinda lost...

Hi my name is Arthur and I am brand new to the community and to the Real Estate world. I am currently 19, and attending college but I seek more in life as I have certain goals I want to achieve. My parents are the typical status quo folks, who believe in the 4 years of college and save money while living below your means. While I think that is wonderful, I do no agree with living life in a straight line and doing what is considered "safe".  I have an tremendous amount of support from them but they do not believe that I can achieve anything without going to college, so just like any other teenager at this age, I am determined to prove them wrong. (In a good way!)

The reason I joined BP was to learn from the never ending amount of information that is available to me. My journey started when I read rich dad Poor dad and millionaire success habits, both amazing books which I do recommend, but more importantly, they opened my eyes to what is really important in life. With that being said, I am a bit lost on where I should start. I am planning on devoting 100% of my time and effort to learning and doing Real Estate because I do not see it as a job and also because I have goals that I want to reach. I have about $300 to my name and a ton of time to spend.

I am located in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area, and I am seeking fellow members who are goal oriented and driven to guide me or give me some pointers on where I should go from here on out. I am primarily interested on rental properties and flips(later on) but since I do not have any capital, I have read that wholesaling is a great way to start.

Thank you for your time and responses, I am sorry for the huge story but I am very eager to learn!
