Hello BP nation!

I've been lurking here for 10 months consuming all that I can. The plethora of content here is so valuable. Very grateful to all who contribute to it. Thank you.

Originally from London, UK, I moved to Houston TX in 2015 and settled in the Pearland area with my wife shortly thereafter. Besides owning our own SFH, I own a split residential and commercial unit in the UK that was gifted to me by my Father. I'll likely dispose of that in the next 24 months after the current lease is either; renewed or the current occupier decides to purchase it outright.

My goal is to build a portfolio that will provide cash flow in retirement for my family. Buy and hold will be my strategy. I am currently focused on increasing my income from the day job and stacking cash to be in a position to do my first deal here. In the meantime, I'm investing in my education, reading books, discussions here, lots of podcasts and hoping to build connections that will stand me in good stead for when the time comes to make a move. (Although, as I am reading, you just never know when that might be.. so here I am, introducing myself to the mixer).

If you're local to Pearland, that's where I live, but I work in the Heights area of Houston (my commute is so fun!), so I'm happy to get acquainted with folks from all over the area. I'll get out to a few of the networking events as a starting point, so let me know if you're a regular to any of those!
