I'm a complete noob to all things REI, but I've been pouring over blogs and forums for the past week or so trying to get a feel for if it's something I want to get involved in. I must say that this place has been the most helpful thus far. Great site.

I'm going to be spending Christmas weekend with 3 REI minded folks so I hope to really pick their brains and absorb some info.

I currently own a home and am looking to purchase a rental property. I'm toying with the idea of renting it to my sisters and one of their friends since they are planning on getting a place together within a few months. If that doesn't work out I guess I'll have to do it the old fashioned way and find some tenants.

I'm in the Colorado Springs area if anyone wants to chat about the local market or point me in the right direction, I would appreciate the help.
