Joining the ranks as a newbie investor from Miami, FL

Hello everyone, 

My name is Lazaro Masot. I was born in Cuba, but I have been in this amazing country since I was a child. I currently work as an IT specialist for a University. I am looking for ways to start in the real estate investing career, start my own business and pursuit my financial freedom to be able to provide a better future to my love ones. I know it is not easy, but I am sure is not impossible when someone has the commitment and desire to go for their goals and vision. I found and joined BiggerPockets as a Pro member just navigating online, looking for resources to learn, connect and to use the handful of tools they offer. I trust this page ever since I found it. I will use every resource to teach myself and to reach my ending goal. I listen to podcasts, view webinars, etc. I am happy to be here and surrounded by all of you.

If you haven't subscribed to the Bigger Pockets podcast yet, I can't recommend it highly enough. I lurked in the forums and listened to the podcast for several years before making the leap to buying my first property. The education I received through the podcast was invaluable in giving me the knowledge and confidence to do the first deal.
