Escaping The Rat Race In Atlanta, GA (Marietta)

Hello all in the BiggerPockets network. My name is Durante Kirby. I live in Metro Atlanta, specifically Marietta. I found BiggerPockets while at work searching for a podcast to take my mind off of having to come into an office, sit in front of a CPU screen, and process account after account after account. I've been interested in real estate for 10+ years and now I am ready to take the first step into investing. 2 things brought me to this point. Being on someone else's clock really bothers me. And my oldest son plays soccer. He's actually pretty good as well. I never again want to have to tell him that I cannot get him to a game because my department is not at capacity and I can't get off. Let alone my youngest is coming along and will have extracurricular activities as well. For me it's not about making all the money in the world. I just want to provide a comfortable life for my family and get my most precious asset back, TIME! I am quite content with a little hunting and fishing and playing some golf at the local muni. I'm really excited about having found this community and even more excited about getting to know and learn from everyone here. Oh and profile pic coming shortly. Thanks everyone and I will talk to you soon!
