I'm surprised I didn't sign up here sooner considering I own a few Bigger Pocket's branded books, but wanted to introduce myself.

I'm in my early 30's and have made a career in the tech industry as a systems engineer. A few years ago when my career seemed to be going nowhere, I got my real estate license as the topic had always been of interest to me. The rules were a bit different then and I was able to get a broker's license. I've run a few open houses here and there, but my only transaction was helping my mom purchase the house she was renting. I've grown tired of my "9-5" and thought I'd revisit the idea of doing something real estate related.

My immediate goal is to discover what opportunities exist that would be a good use of my technical background, but I'd also like to explore the rental and rehab aspects.

I'm looking forward to interacting with all of you!

Edit: Shoot, can't believe I didn't think to add this as it fits my interests, but I think the Smart Home/Automation trend is really cool and hope to be able to get more involved with that.
