Looking to Start from Phoenix, AZ
Hello, BiggerPockets folk!
My name is Jeremy Heesch from the dry heat of Phoenix, AZ. We're just getting ramped up for the part of the season that we're most famous for, so I figured since going outside during daylight hours could lead to dehydration, I'd jump in here and introduce myself.
So I'm 37, worked for a long time in various financial institutions, and I'm currently 6 years into my current job working in retirement asset management at Vanguard. It's an amazing company, but let's face it, there's more out there to do and learn. I love to learn, love to help others, and like to ask questions.
My goals are simple in Real Estate, which is to build an very high level of wealth that my children will learn to manage and that will allow us to help build charities and give back. I'm working on my 10 year plan right now (i.e. the iconic "$10,000 a month in tax advantaged passive income", own a property that pays for the Disney annual pass, etc), though I'm going to be aiming for a 50 year plan following that. I love the idea of starting out in small multifamily, though I'll probably start with a single family home to learn some of the basics. If I had to admit my passions though, it's international lifestyle real estate and agriculture. I LOVE making things grow, especially in places they aren't supposed to or "it's impossible".
Figured I'd just put a toe out in the water and see what's biting. Glad to meet everyone, and looking to learn a ton.
So let's kick this off with a question! From the experienced member's perspective, how can the newer folks contribute back to you? I see a lot of people asking for guides, but I was curious how that equation goes back the other way. How can they help you?
Thanks everyone! Can't wait to see how things progress.
