Newbie from Houston, TX!!!

Hello investors and others. My name is Artigua White. I’m a Houstonian; however, I’ve lived in Miami, NYC, South Korea, and Sydney, Australia - no I wasn’t in the military. I have ZERO experience in real estate! What brought me to BiggerPockets is a friend that mentioned her boyfriend is an investor and with BiggerPockets - this was in 2016. I finally became a member January 2017 but Brandon’s webinar on 90DAYS in April (last month) got me going - I became pro shortly after his webinar. I’m in outside sales and a NFL Agent. I’m committed to retiring by 40 - I’ll be 35 on May 30th. My vision is to have 50 rental properties by 40, which I believe that the cash flow will grant me the freedom to retire from a W-2! I’d like to do this on a part-time basis over the next 5 years. Thereafter, I’d like to focus on my Sports Agency business and continue building wealth - perhaps progress to commercial deals! Happy investing and thanks for reading!

Hey Artigua,

Brandon turner had a webinar titled ' Newbie' that I attended last night...I highly recommend you check it out. I had the same question as you regarding how to really get the good numbers on a rental/investment property and how to fill out the calculator and he breaks that down well within the webinar. If you dont have time to listen to the whole thing skip about the first 30-35 mins...I think the calculator/ property example starts around that time.
