Hello! Geared up to start investing in Mid to South Florid

Hello!

My name is Chad.  I’ve been looking through here for a while for a while and finally decided it was time to join the community.    My fiancé and I will be moving to the Ft. Lauderdale area where we are looking to start investing.    I am a pharmacist originally from Iowa and she is an accounting professor originally from Korea and will be starting a new job at Florida International University this fall.

So our strategy is to start house hacking with a duplex or triplex in addition to using marketing that targets motivated sellers and burnout landlords to structure our business as a wholesale operation.  Our long game is to capitalize buy and hold opportunities we anticipate to come from direct marketing.  Looking to start local and navigate through the inflated market before setting our sights out of state.

I’m well read in real estate and ready to work but limited experience to back it up.   We’re currently looking to get a few deals and some experience so we have something to bring to the table for future partnerships.  My goals are to scale down to part time as a pharmacist (and scale into a full time real estate career) and make working an option for Silver and not a necessity.  Hope to meet great people to grow with and learn from!

Cheers,

Chad
