Hi all.

I am so impressed with this community. So many people have given so much time, knowledge, and tools freely.

What a great group. I'm excited to be a part of the community even though I don't have much to contribute in regards to real estate yet. I can't wait to devour the blogs and articles. What a gold mine.

A bit about me:

I am a veterinarian in South Texas. I went to Texas A&M for my BS and DVM. Now that I am in practice, I am looking for opportunities to invest, create passive income, and prepare for my future. One of the drawbacks from a service-based industry like medicine, is that in order for me to be compensated, I have to physically be at work. I don't want my future to depend that heavily on me being present at work so I am looking at other income generating options.

I have had an interest in real estate for about 10 years, but being a broke college student and having to obsessively focus on my studies was not conducive to getting into real estate. My interest was initially sparked by Kiyosaki like many others. It was further fueled, by some time I spent working with a hard money lender.

Towards the end of college I found a great group of guys that started a company called Seed Sumo. I connected with them and ended up investing in a few startup companies as part of their fund. That was a great team which I will continue to be a part of, but I want to continue diversifying and adding real property to my portfolio.

I look forward to getting to know and connect with people in this community. Reach out if you feel inclined.
