GC and investor from Raleigh / Durham
Newbie from Raleigh NC! I'm a licensed GC and operate a fence installation and repair company. My wife Holly is a real estate broker.
I've been a long time reader of this site but haven't chimed in much.
Short term, we're looking to do our first major flip or spec build this year. Eventually when we move we will rent our current primary home but I'm not interested in growing a buy-and-hold business at the moment as I already have to actively manage a lot of employees and clients.
Long term, were in completely passive investments for now as well as building equity in our primary home.

Welcome Luke Beerman ! We look forward to seeing you around and chiming in more often. It sounds like you should be able to help with the GC items at a minimum. What was it like getting your GC license? Any suggestions? We have been flipping 15-20 a year for a while now, so I feel like I have a pretty good baseline to work from. It’s on my goals list this year to get that license. My plans include development in the next 5 years.
