Intro: New Investor -PA (Philly, Ambler, Pottstown) - 1 deal done
Hi,
I have been listening to the podcast, reading the forms and utilizing the resources on bigger pockets for about a year. Now that I have a deal done, I thought it was time to come and introduce myself.
I am a thirty one year old Penn State grad and huge Philadelphia sports fan. Go birds! I love craft beer and golfing, so anyone wanting to network over either let me know. I have been very successful in enterprise telecommunications sales rep and have won multiple presidents clubs throughout my career. I am looking to take that success and move it into buy and hold real estate.
Before six months ago my only experience in real estate was buying my first house out of college, selling it after five years and buying the home I am in now. They are both in Ambler PA. I completed my first deal in Pottstown PA in September 2017. It is a duplex and rented out garage currently cash flowing $1040.02 after principal, interest, prop tax, insurance % for vacancy, repairs and capex.
My long goal is to achieve the same income I am used to in sales with buy and hold rental units. My short term goal is to sell my single family home in Ambler PA and house hack with a duplex, tri or quad in Ambler PA, or Philadelphia. My requirements are to break even with income vs expenses and to be in cool area with bars and restaurants in walking distance.
