Good morning BP,

Excited to be finally posting here! My name is Russ and I've lived in various towns in the South Shore of Massachusetts my whole life- love it here!

Real estate investing has always interested me and I have read books and surfed the net reading as much as I can about it, but at the end of the day I always end up on the sideline.

Although I enjoy what I do now, I have this growing sense of unease about not taking chances, of being too 'comfortable,' and not making the most of things. -- Maybe some of you can relate, or can remember the feeling before you started pursuing your dreams??

So with this intro I hope I am taking the first of very MANY steps towards becoming a successful real estate investor. I have several goals, but a few I should share now:

-My short term goal is to be an active member here on BP, asking questions to further my understanding of various investment techniques.

-My longer term goal is to apply the gained knowledge to make deals and then share them here on BP, as a way to give back to the community for everything that I will have taken from it. Although I have yet to singularly focus on one investment strategy, I have a goal that I will complete one deal by the end of 2010. This will be while maintaining my fulltime job and pursuing this on a part time basis.

May this be the spark that starts the fire!

- Russ
