New Member Landing in Spokane, WA
Hi BP,
I'm excited to be making first post here and start my REI journey with this wonderful community. My name is Zach and since I won't be going on this journey alone I'll introduce my fantastic wife Dakota and adorable daughter Rosabella. We just arrived to Spokane, WA from England in November and since then I've been trying to eat up as much information as I can get my hands on about investing in Real Estate. It's been very eye-opening especially into how much I didn't know about this world so I'm looking forward to talking to people who have gone where we want to get to and learning even more.
Where we want to go in 2018:
- Buy our first Multi-Family House Hack Home
- Buy our second home to Flip or Wholesale
- Get WA Real Estate License
- More long term we would like to make $5000/mo passive income from Multi-Family rental properties so that my wife can untether from the US Air Force and I can open a D&D Bar business while setting up our daughter with an investment education and freedom to pursue her dreams.
Number 4. is our why we want to invest and where we want to go but maybe just as relevant is where we are right now. I recently left the Air Force in October after 9 years while we were in England because while the benefits and retirement were great I wasn't passionate about it anymore and I didn't want to spend the next 11 years spending time away from family, moving every few years, in a job just because it was safe bet. I now work a part time as salesperson in retail while getting ready to finish my RE License and start at a local company as an agent. My wife Dakota has been in 5 years and is ready to get out as well but that will happen after we get our RE investments started into action. We don't make enough money right now to put away money towards investing but we do have a nest-egg of $10K saved that with the VA backed loan we hope will help get us started.
Thank you for reading our long Intro, we're really excited to start this amazing journey with the BP community and meet some great people along the way. I hope to meet some of you this Thursday as I go to my first REI meetup in Spokane and see how much I've learned thus far (and much more likely learn how much I don't know).
Sincerely,
Zachary Waite & the Waite Family
