Hello everyone, I'm working up the courage and working through my limiting beliefs to start investing.

I'm active duty Navy, and transferring to my last shore duty in February 2018. I will retire after about 3 1/2 years there.

I would like to invest for cash flow to make up for my loss in pay when I retire. I am not picky as to how I will invest, single family homes seem to be a good way to go.

My goal is about $3000 per month of cash flow by retirement.

I owned a duplex a few years back and by chance sold it right before the crash.

I have some money in mutual funds that I can use as capital for investing if needed, but will incur taxes when they are sold.

I am excited and scared at the same time, but it is time to make something happen. Looking forward to some good discussions and help along the way.

-Wes
