Getting serious about real estate in Connecticut

Hello Everyone,

I'm not exactly sure where to get started here so I will jump right in I guess. I am active duty Navy, owner of a profitable local brick and mortar business, as well as a Licensed Home Improvement Contractor in Connecticut. I thrive on staying busy. I currently have 1 rental property located in California and I am interested in getting more involved with real estate here in Connecticut.

I have about 2 years left in the service and my goal is to work on moving into real estate while maintaining my home improvement business after I am out of the service. With about 15 years experience in the construction industry, a W-2 income for the time being, 1 rental under my belt as well as a second income stream from my business it seemed to make sense that this is the time and place to get serious about investing.

I think my overall goal is to focus on buy and hold, however with my construction background finding someone to partner with on a flip definitely would be something I would be interested in.

Anyhow, Glad to be here and I'm looking forward to meeting some other investors.
