New to REI from NYC, New York

Hi everyone, I'm new to REI. My background is in television production and web production (hey maybe I'll make that work in Real Estate too). My goal is to replace income from a salaried job with real estate investments.

Looking at options. Fix-and-flip, managed vacation properties and buy and hold multi-units (duplex, triplex).

My first experience with REI was at an 'Amway' style meetup (I call it Amway style because it wasn't upfront about the purpose. They wanted $20,000 for the training, then I sell this 20K deal to others too and keep half).   I've lurked on Bigger Pockets a while and love the open, honest helpful group and thought I was overdue to jump in and at least say hello.

I look forward to sharing my experiences as my REI knowledge expands.

Steve
