Newbie from Hoopeston, Illinois coming to you from Micronesia!

Hello BP community, I'm Nick.

I am a young and motivated individual with an eagerness to learn about the possibilities that real estate investing may be able to provide. I have an amazingly supportive wife and a three year old son who is my greatest pride and joy. Professionally I am a firefighter currently deployed in Micronesia. I am totally new to real estate, none-the-less, I am working hard to learn as quickly as I can and am close to closing on my wife and I's first deal back home! My goal here is to soak up the wealth of knowledge that this site provides and try to be as successful as possible!

Outside of the bigger pockets podcast and posts which I found while being deployed here I have zero experience in real estate, however like I said previously I am in the middle of trying to close on my wife and I's first deal! We are currently in the process of purchasing a bundle of three buy and hold single family rental homes!

My current real estate goals are to learn to provide a quality business model that offers a better standard and quality of living than my area currently has. I hope to be able to successfully scale said business into a mostly passive income that would allow me financial freedom and the ability to focus on quality time with my family as top priority.
