Hello BP,
My Name is Anthony Henry
I'm 52 years old, with over 15 years in the mortgage industry.
My experience covers retail as well as wholesale lending, my last 5-6 years I served as branch manager for nationwide wholesale lender that specialized in manually underwritten FHA loans. My story is no different than the thousands of people that were displaced by subprime debacle.

As account rep, prior to management, I established a database of 750 brokers and loan officers that I new personally throughout the state of Texas . I thought I had it made! Wrong!! My company imploded along with I guess the number is somewhere around 371 mortgagebankers and lenders who had no secondary market to sell to...

I took my hard earned savings and tried my hand at commercial mortgage brokering, with dismal results. I should have cut my losses and ran but, not me with my (persitance overcomes resistance) mindset. Wrong again!

I took a position with a residential mortgage broker as a Regional Sales Manager, and I had a major "epiphany" that this part of the industry will never be the same without guidelines that will allow average people to qualify for mortgages. In short " I'm starving" :)

I established a presence one of the major social networking sites to originate loans as well as hire loan officers but, everyone is suffering from the same disease. While spending time on the site I noticed everyone was calling themselves REI's after further investigation I realized this is a viable income vehicle, you're hungry and willing to put in the work, one can realize a substantial income. I fit that criteria to the letter so, I contacted an investor who said if I could locate some apartment complexes or condo projects where the construction had been interupted, he would be willing to pay for that info... so I started posting the criteria he gave me everywhere I could. Hence my introduction to BP.. started posting in any group where I thought there was a chance of finding this needle in a haystack. BP shut me down with the quickness! but, I was advised after I inquired as to why I was shut down, to spend sometime in the forums that available on the site and in maybe 30 days or so I may regain my group priviledges. Suffice to say I was pissed, and about to move on to other resources to accomplish my goal, satisfy my client!

Thankfully I decided to see what this forum was about...
WOW!!!! I have never been exposed to a platform where people in the same field were willing to real information, as well as guidance to acheive your goals. I spent 4 hours in the various forums and the model was consistant all the way through. Unbelievable!!!
I want to thank your staff for stopping me dead in my tracks, because I would have never learned the true value contained within this site.

With that being said I am on FIRE, because of the new opportunity I see in becoming a REI. I have no problem with doing whatever it takes to get the job done... I've been doing it for over 15 years commision based. What I would like start out as a "bird dog" / "wholesaler" learn the business, create immediate income to live off. If there are any investors who would be willing to allow me to locate properties for them I am available immediately.working knowledge of real estate in MD/DC 5yrs - Atlanta, GA. 10years - Dallas, TX.2yrs - Houston, TX.3yrs - Phoenix, AZ. 2yrs - Detroit, MI. 1yr.... Thanks BP!!

Judging from what I read, you should do well, but will have the habit of jumping in too soon and acting too fast. This will cause you learn a lot of what is available here for free by the school of hard knocks.

Slow down a little and listen to people and you will be better off. But once you learn the strategy apply that fire you have to it and you should do very, very well.

Good luck, and be careful of your worst enemy, and your best friend, yourself.
