Newbie from NYC, NY interested in buy and hold investing

Hello,

I have been reading up on buy and hold investing for a few months now and it has got me excited to start investing in RE. I plan to purchase my first SFH or small multi-unit property by the end of this year and I'm hoping to meet people in my area who have common interests.

A little bit about myself: I moved to NYC from Toronto about a year ago and I work in M&A consulting at an accounting firm.

Any help to avoid "analysis-paralysis" would be much appreciated!
