New member/novice investor from CT looking for advice

Hi everyone! My name is Chris Maduri from Fairfield County, CT. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Economics, and I work as a global operations analyst. I became interested in real estate when a friend recommended a book to me, Rich Dad Poor Dad (which I'm sure about 90% of people here have read), and I realized I could be doing a lot more with my newfound salary. After searching many forums, watching many YouTube vlogs and videos, and many "oh my god" moments I started looking at properties to get my feet wet. Now, I feel like I've skimmed the surface on many strategies talked about on BiggerPockets, and am keen to learn more about buying with low/no money down, flipping, BRRRR, etc. You name it, I'd like to learn about it.

If anyone here has any helpful threads, words of wisdom, or feels like elaborating on anything they know, please do! Look forward to conversing with everyone.

Chris

Hi @Chris Maduri  welcome to the site... My advice is to continue educating yourself in real estate, start lining up how you're going to finance your deals then get out there and start looking. If you're considering buying to hold long term, I'd definitely suggest Brandon Turner's book on Managing Rental Properties. I thought I was a pretty proficient landlord until I read that book.
