Hello BP,

I am retiring in 18 mths at age 62.  My wife Chris and I are interested in renovating, flipping and possibly buy and hold in Northeast Ohio.  I am a Licensed Electrician in Geauga County and have done one gut renovation for my son in Middlefield Oh.  I also have some good contacts for help with carpentry, HVAC, Kitchens and drywall.

I live in Middlefield and would like to invest close to home if possible.  We have a large Amish community here.  They build high quality houses without Electrical which can be a good fit for my skill set.  They usually sell by owner via word of mouth and the local paper.  Generally they list with Realators only after other efforts are unsuccessful.  One of the problems in rural Northeast Ohio is Septic Systems.  Point of sale inspections are very strict.  It is common for septic point of sale repairs to cost from $10-$25K. Also Comps  are difficult here in Rural Northeast Ohio.

I am anxious to make things happen yet still working they building my knowledge base.  I realize I may have to extend my search outside Geauga County.

I would like to connect with a REI club or members in my area.

Thanks

Jim P
